Biography

Anat Zoe Tuvia’s (Zoriya) musical career began at the age of seven,
when she came to the attention of the Israeli conductor: Neomi Pharan (Moran Choir).
Anat stepped quickly into prominent roles, performing in Israel and Europe as a soloist with the “Moran” choir.

At the age of 16 Anat was admitted to the “Alon” music school in Tel Aviv, where she achieved success in TV broadcasting with the “Camerata Tel Aviv” orchestra, the “Ra’anana symphonic” orchestra as well as the “Moran” choir.

After completion of her studies Anat served her mandatory two years as a singer in the Israeli army, performing at diplomatic functions such as the Oslo Peace Prize while sharing the stage with talents such as Harry Belafonte and Yair Dalal.

At 19 Anat was accepted into the “Academy of Music and Dance” in Jerusalem under the guidance of Miriam Melzer and Dani Etinger.
Two years later she began to study dramatic acting under the direction of Amir Orian at the “Room” theatre in Tel Aviv.
This experience prepared Anat to take on more demanding roles in the productions “Al hachaim ve’al Hamavet” and “Medea” in the Israeli national theatre ”Habima”.

At the age of 23 Anat (Zoe) chose Berlin, Germany as her musical laboratory.
In no time at all she was invited to perform as singer/actress in the production 17-25/4“ [Dialouge 2001], for the world renowned choreographer Sasha Waltz. Shortly afterwards Anat created her own musical project “Zoe +Band”, after called Zoriya. They were soon performing in top Berlin venues ( Reichstag, Haus der Kulturen der welt, A-trane etc…), exciting her audiences while at the same time nurturing strong appreciation and the respect from her peers.
Anat (Zoriya) was quickly invited to perform on a whirlwind of festivals, touring in Germany and Italy. (Popduerop, TFF-Rudolstadt, Horisozonte festival, Junge Meister, moving-cultures, Manifestazione Terra, Foco, Acqua ,“Villanova” …..)

In recent years Anat has concentrated on her own musical compositions and song lyrics while developing a powerfully new and refreshing artistic language in which to express herself. At the same time she has collaborated with Berlin and London based producers and musicians such as Lachen Labib (“MOMO”), released on Popdeurope CD (peacelounge recordings) Bob Ruthman ,Michael Kersting, Bibi Hammond, Paul Brody, Mario Verandi etc…

Anat’s debut album which is in collaboration with the astonishingly sensitive and talented Italian born Sound engineer/producer, Vitalino Zurlo.will be finished soon.
In the summer of 2004 Anat (aka Zoriya) was the recipient of the prestigious German folk and world music prize (RUTH), in the Newcomer category, as well as the winner of the 6. World wide Music award MUSICA VITALE 2004.

on 2005 Zoe, known as well as Zoriya has decided after 7 years of creativity to continue to perform on stage with her Origional given name ANAT. December 2005 - Anat has recorded her second Album 'I will be whatever I will be'. the record is a minimalistic and colourful expression of voice and drums. it can be purchased on the internet shop www.phonector.com.

on 2006 Anat continues to perform with her band in Prestigious festivals such as : Morgenland festival, Music zwischen den welten,Sommer Bonn,Klang welten; and is preparing her solo stage performance which will be premiered in berlin in Marsh 2007. pay attention to upcoming news!
